The Stu was built for photographers at every experience level, including those who are still learning their craft.
If you've never worked with studio strobes, let us know before your reservation. When arranged in advance, a quick lighting orientation can help you get started.
And when the owner is available, questions about camera settings, lighting, and shooting techniques are always welcome. We want you to leave with great work—and maybe a little more knowledge than you arrived with.
Whether you're shooting for a paying client, building your portfolio, or simply practicing something new, The Stu is your space to create.

Not at all. We welcome photographers and content creators of all experience levels. Whether you're photographing a paying client, practicing new techniques, or building your portfolio, you're welcome here.

Your rental includes access to our continuous lighting, studio strobes, and compatible triggers at no additional charge. We also have chairs, stools, and other studio furnishings available for creative use.

Yes! Your reservation includes the main shooting studio, available creative sets, lobby, green room, makeup/changing room, and other common areas. Only the private office is excluded.

That's perfectly fine. Let us know before your reservation, and we can arrange a brief introduction to the lighting equipment. When the owner is available, we're also happy to answer occasional questions about lighting and camera settings during your session.

Absolutely. Not every shoot needs to be a paid assignment. We encourage photographers to experiment, practice, build their portfolios, and develop their skills.ription

Yes. The Stu operates by appointment. You can check availability and reserve your studio time through our online booking system.

Full payment is required when booking. Reservations canceled at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time are eligible for a full refund. Refund requests made within 48 hours are considered on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.
Rescheduling is always free, subject to availability. You can reschedule online up to 48 hours before your reservation. For last-minute changes, please contact us directly.
No-shows are generally nonrefundable. If The Stu must cancel your reservation, you'll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no charge.
